Promises

Did you know that God's word is full of promises?
The one that I like most is found in Genesis 1:26 Then God Said, "Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life-the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky and all the livestock, wild animals and small animals." Wow what a promise!!! We are made in the image of God, to be masters over all life on the planet. What a huge responsibility we have!
I often wonder and contemplate what I am doing with that responsibility. Am I doing all that God wants me to do? or am I doing it my way (the wrong way) Am I truly living my life for Christ? Am I sharing what little bit I do know about Christ? Am I sharing my story with others about how his Grace Saved me when I finally fell on my face and asked him to come into my life and take over? How am I doing with being an image of God? (I fall short every time)
That’s why we constantly need guidance and we go to prayer, fellowship with others, read, go to church, listen to the radio and sing along. Thank You Jesus for saving me with Grace and not Works.
What are you doing to further God’s Kingdom? Are you falling short of all that you could be?
Here is a link to help you!
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello and Hi There

Ok now that I know this really works I will talk about things that are weighing on my heart.
I have been attending SouthBrook church for a few years now and I have made a lot of friends and even a few spiritual connections with people. I don’t know where I would be today if it were not for those connections and me finally realizing I can’t do it on my own.
You see I am the stubborn type of person and sometimes I have to be banged on the head for me to listen. Funny how God can do just that when you least expect it.
I have a favorite verse in the Bible and it happens to be the center of the Bible,
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in people.” And that is what I have been doing my whole life. Trusting people and not God. So its no wonder it took me 40+ years to realize I was messing up…
I like to go and read this everyday. Its our pastor’s blog, and he shares with us some really important things about Christ.( Its always good to have a little bit of help.)
Pastor Rob is our pastor at SouthBrook church. He is God Driven and funny and innovative and Relevant (buzz) and Honest.
Thanks for listening to me. I hope that you check out the couple of links highlighted in Blue.
God Bless
